Electrical (T&D)
Electrical Transmission and Distribution (T&D) refers to the process of transporting electricity from power generation sources to end-users—homes, businesses, and industries. It is a vital part of the electrical power system, ensuring that generated electricity reaches consumers efficiently, safely, and reliably.
1.High Voltage:To minimize energy loss over long distances, electricity is transmitted at high voltages (typically from 110 kV up to 765 kV).
2.Transmission Lines: Carried by tall towers, these lines span vast distances between power stations and substations.
2.Substations: These facilities step down the voltage using transformers, making it suitable for distribution. Substations also house protective equipment and monitoring systems.
